Hydrotec-branded Power Cubes

General Motors’ (GM) new partnership with Japanese construction vehicle manufacturer Komatsu can help lower emissions and pollutants. GM will work with Komatsu to develop mining trucks powered by Komatsu’s Hydrotc-branded ‘power cubes’. Each ‘power cube’ contains 300 hydrogen fuel cells generating 80 kW of power into a mining truck. With only water vapor produced and released by these new power sources, GM aims to revolutionize heavy-duty vehicle technology with an eco-friendly solution through hydrogen fuel cells.
