What Captured Our Attention at the International Builders’ Show This Year

What a great week at The International Builders’ Show in Las Vegas – our BDX team always enjoy catching up with our builder clients and sharing information about all that BDX provides, but we’re also on the look out for new innovative solutions.

Here are a few things that caught our eye; the LG robot, the colorful GE kitchens (and the GE dog of course) and the Sherwin-Williams color of the year!

LG’s AI Agent

This latest device from LG, a robot that will ultimately learn to respond and cater to the needs of its owner by recognizing their facial and vocal expressions. With a built-in camera, sensors and a speaker, the two wheel design can roam through your home and interact with your smartphone to complete tasks – close windows, turn off lights or check for any appliances left on after they’ve been used. The AI Agent can also provide reports on the humidity or air quality within your home.

Imagine this guy welcoming you home from a busy week at IBS, sensing you’re tired and playing a soothing lullaby.

GE’s Cafe Kitchen

Visitors could walk through a rainbow tunnel to find the colorful trends that are driving kitchen design this year. With inspiration taken from art, beauty, culture, fashion and interior design, the CAFÉ signatures brought an immersive experience to the show floor.

CAFÉ also collaborated with CoverGirl to host a glam station where attendees could get a mini makeup refresh, with looks inspired by CAFÉ’s metallic hardware. They also had the opportunity to capture their unique aura color and learn what it says about their personality!

Best of all, let’s not forget the GE dog!

Sherwin-Williams Color of the Year

Described as a ‘breezy, blissful blue’ the Sherwin-Williams Color of 2024 is Upward (SW 6239) – a relaxing light blue-gray with a hint of silver. This year their booth offered a fun giveaway, a nail polish to match! What better way to decide if you love a color enough to paint your home, than to wear it for a while.

With the biggest show floor in 15 years  for both IBS and KBIS, over 1,800 exhibitors and hundreds of new products, there was so much to see and learn.

Thank you all for stopping by our booth.
